Through every season of my life, I have learned that advocacy writing and reflection often grow from the same root — lived experience.

While my journey led me to speak up within a broken healthcare system, it also led me inward. I am a writer and author who finds meaning in love, loss, resilience, identity, and the quiet moments we rarely name. Writing is how I process, how I make sense of change, and how I hold space for complexity.

This space is where I share personal reflections — not to offer answers, but to offer companionship. To say: your questions matter. Your story matters.

Whether you arrive here as a reader, an immigrant, a caregiver, or simply a human navigating life’s uncertainties, you are welcome. We move forward — thoughtfully, honestly, and together.

Writer &Storyteller

Before

Hi, I’m Malini Amaladoss — a published author, caregiver writer, and immigrant from India who has called the United States home for over 30 years. My advocacy writing focuses on sharing meaningful caregiver stories and personal reflections, and it's all part of my commitment to help others in similar situations. You can listen to my advocacy work through the Stroke of Silence podcast.

Turns & Twists

Life has taken me through many roles, but none as unexpectedly defining as becoming the spouse of a stroke survivor. When my husband suffered a stroke, we turned to the healthcare system for support, trusting that they would act swiftly. Instead, we encountered devastating delays in the emergency room—delays that changed our lives forever. This journey has inspired me to share our caregiver stories and engage in advocacy writing, as I reflect on our experiences and offer personal reflections on the importance of timely medical care.
